Privacy statement website Mobilidata

This document contains information about how your personal data will be processed by IMEC on the website of Mobilidata.

Mobilidata is a collaboration between the Flemish Roads and Traffic Agency, Department of Mobility and Public Works, Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Department Economy, Science and Innovation and IMEC. Mobilidata is co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility.

Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum vzw (hereinafter ‘IMEC’), Kapeldreef 75, 3001 LEUVEN , is responsible for the processing of your personal data for this website. IMEC values your privacy and processes your personal information in accordance with the GDPR and local privacy legislation.

What data do we collect?

The website Mobilidata collects following personal data about you:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • IP address (see cookie policy on the website)

Should you provide us with personal data of a colleague or another individual, we advise you to inform this individual about this and refer to this privacy statement.

Purpose of collecting your personal data

Your personal data is collected to be able to provide you with the requested services and information. This can be

  • To be able to contact you when you requested more information or when you completed the ‘contact me’ form.
  • To send you the whitepaper you requested and if necessary, to contact you about this whitepaper.
  • When you accepted the cookies, to be able to track you surfing behavior (see cookie policy).

What is the legal ground for this process activity?

Your personal data will be collected based on your consent. By completing the contact form, you provide us with consent to collect and process your personal data. When you provide us with contact information of another individual, you need to have consent from this individual.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This withdrawal has as a consequence that your personal data will be removed.

Providing us with your personal data is not obligatory, but certain services will not be possible without this information.

How long will your personal data be stored?

Your personal data will not be kept longer than required for the purpose for which they were collected. This means that your personal data will be deleted 5 years after last registered activity (such as open mail, request documentation, etc.).

When you request your personal data to be deleted or when you withdraw your consent, you personal data will also be deleted.

Who will have access to your personal data?

 

Your personal data can be shared with service providers with whom we work to provide our services. Such as:

  • Mailproviders.

IMEC will ensure that your data has proper protection at all times and hence it will only be sent to countries or corporations that are able to guarantee equivalent protection (for example, Oracle has binding corporate rules in place).

Your rights

 

You have following rights related to the processing activities:

  • You have the right to access your personal data;
  • You have the right to correct your personal data;
  • You have the right to have your personal data deleted;
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent.
